We are a small collective of artists based in NYC.

Spending more than 20 years in the field of art and antique restoration we have collected traditional knowledge of working with metal, stone, ceramic, wood and much more. Almost every craft that doesn’t involve a computer got into our scope one way or another.

In our digital era we want to preserve traditional skills that shaped humanity throughout thousands of years. Skills that have seemingly been put aside, if not forgotten for the last 50 years.

We can do: (skills and processes)

Since we have been mostly working with great examples of art that survived criticism of time, all the processes are made with deep knowledge of anatomy, composition, art history and aesthetics.

If you have something in mind – let us know and we will bring it to life!

Clay, metal oxides, silica, fire, all these earthly elements occupied mankind throughout all history.
We are glad to have the opportunity to study the great examples of pottery in close contact.

For restoration we use authentic clay bodies and glazes as well as artificial substitutes.
Matching a glaze color, texture, transparency, and thickness is a process that requires great patience. It is magic, so to say, when you see the result without knowing the entire process.

Restoration is the best school ever for an artist who prioritizes aesthetics before anything else. You temporarily possess the actual piece of art that survived many generations that otherwise could only be seen in a museum. But here you can live with it, touch it, study it, then try to imitate its shape, color, and texture little by little approaching perfection. That process includes everything… If you want to carve a missing hand of a statue it’s not enough to just know anatomy and how to use tools. You need to immerse yourself in a certain epoch to understand the stylistic aspects of those days, how the sculptor thought, what kind of tools and processes he used. It is a deep plunge into art history besides everything else.

This is a hard pass, and this is poetry.
